Here is how to pause a Facebook group:

Open the Facebook group

Go to the home page of the FB group

Click on the three dots under the cover photo

Click on ‘Pause group’how to pause a Facebook group

Then click on ‘Continue’. Then ‘Continue’ again.

Then you can optionally add an announcement why you are pausing the group.

You can also optionally set a time when you want to automatically resume the group.

What Happens When You Pause A Facebook Group?
