In this video tutorial, we are going to show you how to change the URL of a Facebook business page.

What Is My Facebook Page URL?

You can easily check your current Facebook page URL in the browser address bar. All you have to do is to open Facebook.com, then navigate to your Facebook page and have a look at the browser’s address bar at the top of the page.

People can use this URL to link to your Facebook page, so it important to have a nice custom URL. When you create a new Facebook page,
Facebook will auto-generate you a unique URL based on your Facebook page name that is unique, so it will likely contain random numbers added to the Facebok name as you can see in this example.

As this is more difficult to remember, you have the option to change this default Facebook page URL to a custom URL as we will show it down below.

Facebook Page URL Vs Page Page Username Vs Facebook Page Name

Before we would continue with the Facebook Page URL topic and show you how to change your Facebook page ULR, I just want to clarify the important distinction between the Facebook page URL, Page page username and Facebook page name.

So we have already defined the Facebook page URL as it is the unique web address of your Facebook business page.

Facebook page URL is related to the Facebook page username as once you create a Facebook page username it will be used as the URL of your Facebook page. For example, if you created the FB username test12345 then your Facebook page URL will be facebook.com/test12345.

The Facebook page name has nothing to do with the Facebook Page URL or the username. This is basically the name people can see when you post on Facebook and the title you can see when you open a Facebook page:

Whereas Facebook page username has to be unique so people can use it to link the Facebook page, Facebook page doesn’t have to unique.

Open your Facebook newsfeed, then click on Pages on the left sidePages page from the Facebook NewsFeed

Choose the Facebook page you want to change the URL of.

On the top of the Facebook page’s homepage, click on ‘Create

Now in this new pop-up window, you can add a Facebook username.

If the Facebook username is not taken yet and if it is not over 50 characters, then as you can see your Facebook Page URL has been changed.
